American Idol’s Top 12 results are in!  And after a robotic and unimpressive performance by previous contestant Blake Lewis (Did the producers actually hear this song beore they approved it?), Ryan began the suspenseful eliminations.

I am not going to rehash the entire episode, but here are the final results:

For the Guys, here are the top 6 Finalists:

David Cook, David Archuleta, Jason Castro, David Hernandez (despite rumors that he was kicked off for being a gay stripper), Michael Johns, and Chikezie. 

For the Ladies:

Brooke White, Syesha Mercado, Ramiele Malubay, Carly Smithson, Amanda Overmyer, and Kristy Lee Cook.

So we say goodbye to Kady Malloy and Luke Menard, who were the obvious choices  for bottom two this week.  We also say goodbye to Asia’h Epperson, who I think is actually a great singer, but she is a perfect example of bad song choice!  And Danny Noriega is gone too.  I must admit that I like that kid.  At least he was totally original, but he was never going to win it all, so I guess it’s okay that he’s gone. 

Next week will bring a new stage and for the first time, live viewer phone calls, which should be exciting!!
